Ceramic bottle, pottery bottle, handmade vase. Perfect for olive oil, vinegar, cooking oil.

Created on my potter's wheel on the south coast of Dorset, England, this strong, modern form is made from warm white stoneware clay. When the vase/bottle is dried to leather hard, I carve the side and press my MadeByPowley stamp at the base of the bottle. The bottle is then left to dry before it is placed in the kiln for its first firing, the bisque firing which reaches the temperature of 1050 degrees Celcius.

The bottle is removed from the kiln and glazed in a light cranberry glaze. The bottle is now ready for its final firing, the high fire, to 1240 degrees Celcius. 3 days later the kiln has cooled sufficiently to safely open it. So pleased to see and feel the oil bottle. Very, very tactile!!!

Pouring Spout included. The spout opens by tipping the bottle. To remove the spout, hold the black rubber at the base and wiggle it out. Please do not overfill. Leave an air gap in the bottle.

If a ceramic piece is filled with liquid, it should not be placed directly on a wood surface for prolonged periods. Please use a coaster to protect your wood. This applies to handmade and factory-made ceramics.

Remove the pouring spout and the ceramic bottle/vase is dishwasher and microwave safe. Handwash the spout before refilling.

The bottle is then left to dry before it is placed in the kiln for the first firing, the bisque firing which reaches the temperature of 1050 degrees Celcius. The ceramic oil / vinegar bottle is removed from the kiln and is covered using a glaze of blues. I brush charcoal underglaze into my MadeByPowley stamp and then remove the excess glaze with a damp sponge. The piece is now ready for the final firing (the high fire to 1240 degrees Celcius). 3 days later, the kiln has cooled sufficiently to safely open it. So happy to see and feel the pottery oil bottle. Filled with joy!!

Blues and Greens Oil Bottle

Approximate height (not including the spout) : 14.5 cm
Approximate capacity: 370 ml

Please do not overfill the bottle. There needs to be an air gap between the spout and the oil when filling.

To remove the spot, hold the black silicone and wiggle it out. Before refilling the bottle, wash the spout with soapy, warm water.

The pottery espresso cups are covered in candyfloss pink glaze.

The espresso mugs are hand-thrown on my potter's wheel on the south coast of Dorset. When the mug has dried for a day, it is carved to create a texture near the base of the cup. A handle is then pulled from a lump of clay and attached to the mug. At the bottom of the handle, the MadeByPowley stamp is pressed into the clay. When it is bone dry, the mug is loaded into the kiln for its first firing - the bisque firing - which reaches 1050 degrees Celcius. The mug is then ready to glaze. After glazing, it then returns to the kiln for its final high firing that reaches 1240 degrees Celcius.
