Pottery Oil Bottle in speckled jade

£42.00

Ceramic Olive Oil Bottle, handmade vase. Perfect for olive oil, vinegar, cooking oil or use as a vase for a single or couple of flowers, dried grasses, or fresh herbs.

Created on my potter's wheel on the south coast of Dorset, England, the strong, modern form is made from stoneware clay. The Made By Powley stamp is pressed into the side of the bottle near the base. The bottle is then left to dry before it is placed in the kiln for the first firing, the bisque firing which reaches the temperature of 1050 degrees Celcius.

The bottle is removed from the kiln and is covered with the speckled jade and cream glaze. The bottle is now ready for the final firing, the high fire, to 1240 degrees Celcius. 3 days later the kiln has cooled sufficiently to safely open it.

Approximate height of oil bottle (not including the pouring spout): H 14 cm / 5.5 inches
Approximate capacity: 340 ml / 12 fl oz

Pouring Spout included.
-If a ceramic piece is filled with liquid it should not be placed directly on a wood surface for prolonged periods. Please use a coaster to protect your wood. This applies to handmade and factory-made ceramics.
-Remove the pouring spout by gripping the black silicone and wiggling it out.
-Do not overfill. Leave an air gap.

The bottle without the spot is dishwasher safe

I LOVE the oil/vinegar bottles! :) How good would this one look with your charcuterie and cheese board or standing beside your hob and holding your cooking oil!

Hope that you LOVE your new oil or vinegar bottle and vase!!!
